Tanks Unplugged July 2018

Tanks Arts Centre - Tank 5

Checking sale status

A Tanks’ series that showcases the best of live and local music. This month proudly presents Charlie Rebel, Chester Brix and Kaweyova.

With punk rock at heart, Charlie Rebel challenges the very four walls that encompass our society. Visceral lyrics, accompanied by gritty sweet sibling harmonies are just the beginning of the band's solid foundation.

Alternative reggae rock band, Chester Brix, is now Melbourne based after flying the Cairns coop some years ago to pursue music. With their debut track Talk generating over 4,000 organic streams in the first month, their distinctive sound is set to ignite their trajectory.

Growing up without the influence of radio or television, Kaweyova perfected her sweep-you-off-your-feet sound through singing traditional island songs from the Trobriant Islands of Papua New Guinea.

TANK 4 UP LATE night – when Tank 4 gallery invites guests of the Tank 5 show to stay on for a nightcap, listen to our Tank 4 up late artist, Valerie Villa, and check out the current exhibition – ‘til late.
