Tanks Round Cinema: Gimme Danger

Venue Tank 5 - On sale now

Attention film devotees! Tanks Arts Centre and End Credits Film Club present a fresh cinema series on the edge in the cool comfort of climate-controlled Tank 5.

From award winning Director Jim Jarmusch, comes an in-depth look at one of the greatest rock-n-roll bands of all time, The Stooges, whose powerful and aggressive style blew a crater in the musical landscape of the late 1960s.

Emerging from Ann Arbour Michigan amidst a countercultural revolution, The Stooges assaulted audiences with a blend of rock, blues, R&B, and free jazz, planting the seeds for what would be called punk and alternative rock in the decades that followed.

The film dissects the emergence of the band - musically, culturally, politically, historically - and portrays their adventures and misadventures while charting their inspirations, the reasons behind their initial commercial challenges and their long-lasting legacy.
